Baldwin Area Medical Center’s warm water pool offers a unique exercise opportunity for area residents.
Pool Specifications:
• 88 to 90 Degree Water Temperature
• 19’ x 35’ in size
• 4’ to 5’ pool depth
• Air Temperature controlled for comfort
• Quiet, relaxed atmosphere
• Lifeguard present at all times
• Supervised by caring, competent staff
The water’s healing properties improve muscle strength, endurance and flexibility with minimal impact on joints. Exercising in the pool improves balance, coordination and cardiorespiratory fitness while decreasing pain and stiffness.
The Aquatic Therapy programs are a series of progressive physical movements which use the water’s buoyancy and resistance designed to be performed with or without aids for the individual client.
