Cancer Care
A diagnosis of cancer can be overwhelming – but you don’t have to challenge the disease alone. The team of caring professionals at Baldwin Area Medical Center is here to help you through this difficult time. Our healthcare providers will help you through diagnosis, consults, treatment and follow-up care. We provide a soothing, healing environment that is close to home.
Our Oncology program is designed specifically around individual needs. A visiting oncologist and our oncology certified nurses will develop a treatment plan with each patient. We provide outpatient chemotherapy, coordinate radiology and lab tests, dietary needs, financial concerns, outside services, home care assistance and follow up plans.
Our oncologist also provides hematologic (blood disorders) consults such as anemia, clotting or bleeding problems, and diseases arising from the blood or bone marrow.
We also offer these non-cancer infusion services :
• Remicade, Orencia for Rheumatoid Arthritis and Crohns
• Boniva, Reclast for osteoporosis
• Antibiotics
• Specialty IV therapies and injections
• PICC and central line placement and cares
