Stress Echocardiogram

A stress echo uses both electrocardiogram (EKG) recordings and an echocardiogram (an ultrasound of the heart) to evaluate your heart under the stress of exercise.  Your heart rate and rhythm will be continuously monitored throughout the test as the speed and elevation of the treadmill increases to make your heart work harder.  This test is done in conjunction with St. Paul Heart Clinic staff.
