He completed both his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education, Rochester, MN. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism. Dr. Adkins is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, American Diabetes Association and The Endocrine Society.
