Who We Are
The Hospital Guild, or more recently renamed the BAMC Auxiliary, was formed in 1936 by a group of women when the “vision” of the hospital became a community goal. We currently have approximately 50 members. The facility’s 70th birthday was celebrated in October 2006.
The entire community, as well as the surrounding towns, embrace the community hospital with generous donations of time and monies. The Auxiliary’s mission is to provide support to BAMC. The hospital has changed tremendously since 1936 with regulations and technology dictating much of what we do now. The one thing that remains constant, however, is patient care. It continues and will continue to be the main focus of the Medical Center staff and Auxiliary members alike.
Together the Auxiliary and volunteers contribute many hours of service each year. The Auxiliary donates time and energy to enhance our healthcare facility and patient stays.
One of the larger projects recently was raising approximately $37,000 towards the heated therapeutic pool in the Center for Personal Wellness.
Wheelchairs, TV’s, video equipment, art work and numerous other items are all attributed to the hard work of the organization.
When We Meet
The BAMC Auxiliary meets on the third Tuesday of the month during six months of the year. We meet at 4:00PM at BAMC. Annual dues are only $5.00.
