Need a sports physical? No sweat.
Baldwin Area Medical Center and Roberts Medical Clinic are offering discounted WIAA approved sport physicals to area student athletes. Exams are required every two years by the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) for participation in extracurricular school sports.
Lance Weagant, MD and Arianne Fredrickson, PA-C will be offering WIAA approved sport physicals on the following dates:
Baldwin Area Medical Center
Wednesday, July 27, 2011 – 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Roberts Medical Clinic
Thursday, July 28, 2011 – 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm
The WIAA sport physicals cost $25.00 if paid on the day of service. If the medical center is to bill insurance or bill the patient at a later date the cost is $35.00. These prices are for these clinics only.
These discounted sports physicals are only for participation in sports. Additional health concerns may not be addressed and further testing may be required.
Parents are reminded that physical exams provided under “well-child checks” also will fulfill physical exam requirements for the WIAA. Most health insurance providers cover well-child checks, however, parents should check with their insurance provider before scheduling a well-child check appointment. Appointments for well-child checks can be made at any time with providers at Baldwin Area Medical Center and Roberts Medical Clinic.
